About

The Full Story

Janaria McIntosh, the founder, hails from Chattanooga, Tennessee, and commenced her career journey in 2012. While she deeply enjoys the art of barbering, Janaria's true passion lies in making a meaningful impact on the lives of those around her. In 2016, she crossed paths with Pastor Marcellus Barnes of Grace Pointe Church, where she immersed herself in learning about The Teachings of the Three T's (Time, Talent, and Treasure). Motivated by this encounter, Janaria made the decision to collaborate with Grace Pointe’s Outreach Ministry to provide the youth at Avondale Community Center with more than just free haircuts. On Wednesday nights, she orchestrated not only grooming activities but also facilitated food distribution, Bible study sessions, and various engaging activities, impacting over 25 school-aged students on a weekly basis.

In 2020, an opportunity arose for Janaria to further enrich her skills as a barber and infuse her talents with her fervent desire to help others. Fueled by this prospect, she embarked on creating a comprehensive program aimed at addressing unmet needs by intertwining her passion with her unwavering commitment to serve. Commencing with the provision of grooming services to 50-100 school-aged students, Janaria has now expanded her initiative to include offering food, mental health support, and holistic well-being solutio
ns. For the Culture, under Janaria's leadership, is deeply entrenched in the belief in the transformative power of community and steadfastly endeavors to play a pivotal role in uniting and uplifting individuals from all walks of life.
